The Story
Wild Expeditions is the result of a passion for adventure and the natural world. We wanted to bring together conservation and expeditions to under-represented and remote locations around the world, so that your travel can have a real and tangible positive impact on endangered environments.
Wild Expeditions was born out of a shared love for adventure and a deep commitment to preserving the wonders of the natural world. Drawing on Becca’s experience in international development in West Africa and Chris’s background as a wildlife cameraman, both founders recognized the importance of protecting the lesser-known and remote regions of our planet.
During a film shoot documenting the elusive snow leopard in Kyrgyzstan, Chris and Becca were inspired to create an expedition that would not only offer travellers an unforgettable experience, but also directly contribute to the well-being of local communities in the area. This realisation prompted the establishment of Wild Expeditions, and since then, the company has been dedicated to expanding this unique model to various destinations across the globe.

Becca
Co-founder and expedition leader
A Mountain Leader, Wilderness First Responder and a graduate of TrekForce’s Expedition Leadership programme, Becca has utilised her 5 years of living and working in West Africa as an aid programme implementer to excel as an all-round explorer. Her proficiency in navigating difficult terrain, fostering local partnerships, and promoting community-driven development contributes to Wild Expeditions’ transformative journeys, impacting both guests and the preservation of fragile ecosystems.
Chris
Co-founder and wildlife camera op
Chris has spent the last 8 years filming documentaries all over the world where he has worked for the likes of the BBC and other major broadcasters. A natural adventurer, he’s most comfortable in remote environments with limited resources filming challenging natural history content. His experience working with frontier communities and wildlife behaviour makes him pivotal to Wild Expeditions’ mission to raise the profile of our remote destinations through creative storytelling.
